New feature: Add your own personal events
Registered ScheduAALL users can now add custom personal events to their personalized conference schedule. Just click the big red button at the top of the right sidebar on any page:

In the personal event creation form, add all the details for your event:

At the bottom of the form, you'll be asked to select what type of event you are creating:

As the form states, there are three types of events: Private, Public and Community. Private Events are only visible and editable by the person who creates it. This might be useful for personal reminders, such as travel details or errands. Private events are included in a user's My ScheduAALL, but not his or her public profile.
Public Events, however, are visible to all registered user, not just the person who creates it, though only the event's creator can edit its details. In addition, anyone can add anyone else's Public events to their own personal schedule. This could be handy for letting others know where you'll be at a given time so they can join you, such as for mingling in the Exhibit Hall or having drinks in the hotel bar.
Community Events are just like Public events, with one important difference. Any registered user can edit the details of a Community event, not just the user who created it. This would be helpful for group outings in which several attendees are collaborating on the planning, like a sightseeing trip or a trip to a local restaurant.
Attendees can add Public and Community events to their personal schedules the same way they add conference events: using the checkbox on the event's page. An event's author automatically adds the event to their personal schedule when he or she creates that event, but the creator can always remove themselves simply by unchecking the box.

An event's creator can always change a Private event into a Public or Community event. However, since other attendees might have added Public and Community events to their own schedules, these cannot be changed back to Private events. Of course, an event's creator can still make a Public event into a Community Event and vice-versa.
Because they are limited general interest to everyone, personal events are not listed in ScheduAALL's conference program listings or in search results. The only place you will find them listed is in a user's profile. They are easily spotted thanks to the automatic addition of the words "personal event" to the title.

While personal events aren't integrated with the rest of ScheduAALL's event listings, you can always spread the word about these events using the Share link on the event's page.
The personal event feature is intended to be used for unofficial events with little to no general interest to conference attendees at large. If you wish to add an official or quasi-official event should be part of the master schedule and search results, or if you have any questions about the new personal event feature, please use the ScheduAALL contact form, send an email to scheduaall@tomboone.org or send a Direct Message to @ScheduAALL on Twitter.
