A significant part of law library collections includes federal government documents. The knowledge of collecting and managing them is a valuable asset for every law library. Some law libraries receive these publications through the Federal Depository Library Program of the U.S. Government Printing Office and must adhere to the rules and guidelines of this federal program. This presentation features a panel of government documents librarians who will discuss their profession, how they came to be documents librarians; and provide an introduction to practices, collection management tools, and support available through training and connections to professional groups. This program will serve as a guide for action and connection for new and seasoned documents librarians and their colleagues.
