Have you ever looked at a newsletter or brochure and knew that something was not right, but could not figure out what was wrong? This program introduces the four basic concepts of design and teaches you how to recognize and fix design flaws. Visual representations of our ideas and messages market best when the information is clear and concise. While the advertising industry hires professional graphic designers, this workshop will address the basic building blocks to empower novice designers to give new life to their products. Implementing innovative and creative design is an essential element and key to success in library marketing. Librarians need to create a “package” and a style that tells everyone that this is the library calling!
