Target Audience: 
Individuals who are interested in the process by which public laws and regulations are codified into the U.S. Code and Code of Federal Regulations; individuals who are interested in or working with government documents; those who teach law school research classes; reference librarians and others who are interested in the codification process
Learning Outcomes: 
1) Participants will be able to recognize and explain the process by which the laws passed by Congress are incorporated into the U.S. Code.
2) Participants will have a greater understanding of the process by which regulations promulgated by federal agencies are incorporated into the Code of Federal Regulations.

This session will feature one speaker from the Office of Law Revision Counsel from the U.S. House of Representatives, who will speak about the process followed to incorporate an act of Congress into the U. S. Code, and a second speaker from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), who will discuss the process followed to codify a regulation promulgated by an agency into a section of the Code of Federal Regulations.
