C-5 Reporting for Duty: Military Information and Its Application to Legal Research
Recent world events have resulted in the increasing intersection of military information and legal research. From Supreme Court cases addressing the military commissions at Guantanamo Bay to the Haditha court martial trials, law librarians have been constantly drawn into this intersection. However, to the legal researcher, the world of military information can appear both complex and secretive. The first presenter will shed light on this world by providing an overview of how the legal research community can access military publications and resources. The second presenter will analyze and contrast the essential print and electronic resources used in conducting research in military law. The program will include a discussion of research methodologies in an area of law that has recently been thrust into the headlines.
