The AALL Guide to Fair Practices for Legal Publishers outlines best practices for the publishing industry. When publishers step over the line, can they be stopped? One law librarian put a halt to illegal publishing practices by putting the law on our side. Hear the story of how our Super Law Librarian got mad, got an attorney, and got us over a million dollars back! The attorney who handled the matter will review the case, and will inform us of the legal steps necessary for stopping bad practices. We will look at the highlights of: The AALL Guide to Fair Business Practices for Legal Publishers, a handout of the guide, and a handout of the agreement between the State of Florida Office of the Attorney General and the publisher.
