Tonight it’s first class treatment as you board our luxury vehicle for a moonlit tour of our capital city. Throughout your tour, an expert tour guide will regale you with tales of trivia of the nation’s capital.
The first stop of the evening will be at the newest memorial to Washington, D.C. - the National World War II Memorial. This memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the United States during World War II, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home. Symbolic of the defining event of the 20th century, the memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people to the common defense of the nation and to the broader causes of peace and freedom from tyranny throughout the world.
Next, your driver will take you along the Potomac River to the beautifully illuminated Jefferson Memorial. Here, you will have the opportunity to climb the marble steps to the temple that houses a breathtaking statue of our third President.
Then you will move on to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, a 7½-acre walking memorial that lies between the Potomac River and the Tidal Basin. A true work of architectural genius, this landmark is one of Washington’s most popular attractions.
Your final stop will be at Lafayette Square, which offers a superb view of the White House. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the President in his home!
This tour is fully wheelchair-accessible.
