Visit the 4-year-old campus of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which is a short walk from the King Street Metro station in Alexandria, Virginia. This tour will include visits to the PTO Museum, the Public Search Room, the showcase Parker Law Library and the Scientific & Technical Information Center (referred to as the Biotech Library), if time permits. These buildings are a real showcase for the center of patent research; librarians interested in the world of patents should not miss this tour. A sizable food court/cafeteria and a number of good restaurants are available for those wanting to stay for lunch after the tour.
